My Prints
Monotypes 22” by 30” and 19” by 10
A monotype is an image made by inking a non-absorbent surface with colors, laying a piece of paper over it, and running it through a press. The result has a chance element, often random and irregular, which gives the print an added dimension.
Etchings
Etching is an intaglio printmaking process in which lines or areas are incised using acid into a metal plate in order to hold the ink. Then, paper is placed over it, and it is run through a press.
